Jennifer Duval-Smith Botanical Art
Jennifer Duval-Smith an Auckland based botanical watercolour artist and nature journalist. Her personal mission is to reconnect people back to nature and their own innate creativity, while having fun, preferably in beautiful places.
Currently Artist in Residence at Auckland Domain Wintergardens, where she teaches an annual workshop series and is the leader of the Exploring Botanical Watercolours course at at Te Uru Waitakere Gallery in Titirangi.
She uses nature journaling principles to teach students to become more observant, to use their intentional curiosity and form new connections. These tools and techniques will allow the student to become a more accurate, confident and engaged artist. This method helps beginners overcome artistic anxiety and to improve results for more experienced artists.
