About Arrieta Art Studio

Opened in July 2022, Arrieta Art Studio was founded with a key mission: to create a welcoming, inclusive community where anyone—regardless of background or experience—can engage with the art world. The studio provides low-barrier opportunities for emerging artists across all disciplines to showcase their work while also fostering creative exploration for those new to art through classes, open workspaces, and public events.

The studio is primarily run by me, Mishel Arrieta—a curator, educator, and mixed media artist specializing in abstract acrylic painting and immersive installations. My work is deeply rooted in sensory exploration, inclusivity, and accessibility, reflecting my background in education and community engagement. I am passionate about creating spaces where creativity thrives, whether through exhibitions, hands-on workshops, or collaborative projects.

Arrieta Art Studio also thrives thanks to a small but dedicated team of local guest artists, volunteers, and community members who contribute their time and talent to keep the space vibrant.
