ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS:

Nicola Willis

Nicola Willis is the Minister of Finance, Minister for the Public Service, Minister for Social Investment and Associate Minister of Climate Change.

Prior to becoming an MP, Nicola held a number of senior management roles at New Zealand dairy co-operative Fonterra. She also served on the boards of Export NZ and policy think-tank the New Zealand Initiative.

Nicola was a senior advisor to Prime Minister John Key during his first term in Government, having previously worked for the National Party in Opposition.

She is a graduate of Victoria University of Wellington with a first-class Honours degree in English literature. She grew up in Wellington, and today she lives there with her husband Duncan and their four children.

Two Raw Sisters

Margo and Rosa Flanagan love sharing recipes that make you feel great through their four best-selling cookbooks and internationally recognised Two Raw Sisters App. Inspiring all eaters, every day to see food as enjoyment by using good ingredients and being intelligently lazy.

Sacha McMeeking

Sacha is a metaphorical juggler- a solo mama to two, an academic by day with a side hustle by weekend. The uniting thread across it all is trying to contribute to positive social gains. Her research focusses on social impact policy and mechanisms and her business partnership (Tū Māia) aims to grow, dare and back change agents to increase the impact they contribute for and with their communities. Tū Māia won the MWDI Māori Business Women Te Waipounamu Award in 2018, and Sacha was fortunate to be awarded the Fulbright Harkness Fellowship to work on values driven business in the US and later complete an MPhil at Cambridge University’s Judge Business School. As a slightly wild teenager, Sacha juggled fire. Now she tries to separate the fire and the juggling: fire for purpose and juggling for life management.
