Whakatū Girls Rugby Trust, Rugby Developement Camp
Come join us for a fun-filled few days in Nelson for our WGRT Rugby Development Camp! Every participant in a WGRT Development Camp can expect to be welcomed to a supportive environment where they will make new friends and teammates. Players will be put in small teams according to their age and skill level, ensuring everyone has a chance to take part in sessions and workshops that help them grow as players. Participants will improve and strengthen their skillset, fitness, and network with coaches and peers.
Our Nelson WGRT Development Camp is open to both girls and boys, ages 8-18.
Caring and qualified coaches will lead structured and fun days where players build confidence and learn the game in a safe and inclusive environment. Coaching staff will empower the participants to reach their potential through sport. We will have a guest coach or two join us for camp, taking time to talk to the players about their own expereinces and pathways of playing. Everyone at our WGRT Development Camp will benefit from seeing and receiving guidance and instruction from our female coaches that have played in various levels of the game.
Registration in a WGRT Development Camp includes morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea, along with some awesome WGRT gear! All levels of players welcome, ages 8-18, April 14th 9:00am-3:00 pm and April 15th, 9:00am-3:00pm at Waimea Old Boys Rugby Football Clubroom (Jubilee Park).
Cost will not be a barrier to participate in our WGRT programmes. We do have scholarships available. Please email us to enquire about a scholarship on admin@whakatugirlsrugbytrust.org.nz.
We would like to thank the local community for hosting us and supporting the growth of the game in so many ways! Come and join us for what will be the start of another great year of rugby with WGRT!
