Māori cultural competency workshops for early-to mid-career researchers in neuro and healthtech.
Our actions must be guided by our relationships with tangata whenua and Te Tiriti, while we value other knowledge systems including mātauranga Māori. These Whaia te Tika workshops aim to enable participants to engage more effectively with Māori by providing a better understanding of Kaupapa Māori in a research context. This short series is designed particularly for early- to mid- career researchers in the health and brain research areas.
These series are open nationally (we will cover travel costs).
There are 2 workshops in this series, you MUST attend both.
Monday 17th October online via Zoom 10am-4pm.
Thursday 20th October in person at Beaufords in Totara Park, 90R Wairere Road, The Gardens, Auckland. Catering provided.
If you are interested in attending, please register and we will be in touch to confirm your place.
Please feel free to contact Misty Edmonds misty@iue.net.nz with any questions you may have about these workshops.
