About this event

  • Event lasts 5 hours 30 minutes

These collaborative termly meetings are designed to provide mathematics teachers and leaders with an opportunity to connect with schools in their area, engage with current research and develop effective mathematics education for New Zealand schools.

These meetings will focus on inquiry and will enable teachers and leaders to:

  • stay up to date with the Mathematics Refresh and Te Mātaiaho
  • build capability in leading mathematics and statistics within and across their school
  • investigate effective pedagogy and strategies for teaching and assessing mathematics and statistics
  • network with other teachers and leaders to share best practices from their schools.

These MLC’s have been supporting mathematics teachers and leaders for over 15 years and we are excited to offer you the opportunity to be part of this network in 2024.

What your colleagues are saying about MLCs:

“Thank you so much for all your hard work in developing these leadership opportunities. The meetings have run smoothly and at a level that everyone can understand and follow. There has been something for everyone regardless of their level of leadership or maths PD. The meetings have been informative, interesting and well planned. There has always been a lot to "take away" and easy to use PD to use with our school.”
