About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Join with colleagues in conversation to 'dig deep' into our 'obligations towards care as a political, ethical, and affective act, and as a catalyst for engaging with the responsibility of imagining the possible..." (Ref. extract from Giaminutti, Giudici, and Strozzi, 2024 - see link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cZ7Sqmgxu7_a_qJXCGVhPZuMThn-SWJ7/view)

How do we as teachers nurture and sustain a sense of belonging in ourselves and our colleagues to maintain a sense of optimism?

At a time when the gains made in ECE are under threat, what is our commitment to 'collective organisational principles of collaboration, strenuous upholding of education as the common good, and unfaltering efforts towards participation' (ibid. p. 13) and how might this be realised in our practice?

This is a FREE event - all welcome. We will serve soup and bread at 6.30, prior to the meeting.

There is parking on Mount Albert Road, or at the bottom of the driveway to the MARC, at the rear of the centre.
