The Oakland chapter of the Experimental Aviation Association (EAA) is a friendly, local group of people of all ages and backgrounds who come together once a month to foster community, share stories, and learn new things about aviation.

"Cross-country" flights are one of the great pleasures and adventures of general aviation. For many pilots, flying across state and national boundaries offers challenges that elevate one's skills as well as the intrinsic rewards of flying.

Now, imagine what it would be like to fly ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE ATLANTIC OCEAN in a small airplane more often used for day trips and $100 hamburgers! Is that even possible? How would you dream up such an audacious trip? What's involved in planning and executing the journey?

Come hear a first-hand account of successfully flying a Cessna 182 from OAK to Holland and back with local pilots, Ronald Put and Mike Herbert.
