About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours 30 minutes

Over the past couple of years I've had numerous women tell me that they would love to attend a more personalised workshop session with me, not only to help them stay on track, but to help them understand solutions specific to their own lifestyle and health issues.

I've always been keen, but until now have never had the opportunity. So I'm excited to let you know that for the first time in TIMARU, I will be hosting a Menopause Intensive workshop in the brand new WELLNESS STUDIO at Go-Girl Physique Gym, hosted by certified MyMT™ Practitioner, Lizelle Pelser.

  • Do you still have unanswered questions about menopause?
  • Are you curious to learn more about menopause and ageing science?
  • Would you benefit from a personal 3.5 Hour Menopause Intensive?

I hope you can join me in this member only exclusive event:

Date: Saturday, 16th November 2024

Time: 1pm to around 4.30pm.

Location: Wellness Studio, Go-Girl Physique, 20 The Terrace, Timaru 7910

There are only 10 spaces available, allowing plenty of time for everyone to address their issues and get their own questions answered.

If you would like to take a more personalised approach to your symptoms and or weight management and have me problem-solve with you, then here's what I want to cover in more depth than what I go into, in the content of my Circuit Breaker and Transform Me 12 week courses.

Whether you are a past or present member of the MyMT™ community, will you join me? It would be my pleasure to spend some quality time with you. My five reasons for you to attend are;

  1. Your busy life has got in the way of 'Project You'
  2. As you've moved into a different stage of menopause, some of your symptoms have changed and you can't pinpoint why, whether you are on HRT or not.
  3. You are struggling with menopause weight management and want a personal refocus plan.
  4. You want some motivation and support from me to get back on track
  5. You want to connect with like-minded women experiencing the trials and tribulations of midlife hormonal changes

I'm going to focus on three areas of problem solving in this 3.5 hour intensive:

  • sleep and hot flush problem-solving solutions
  • nutritional solutions, food type and timing
  • exercise solutions that are right for you

The conversations will be supportive (and confidential), the solutions will be practical, the vibe will be positive and the tea will be hot!

So whether you want to dig deeper, or just want to take a more personalised approach to your symptoms and health as you age, I'm so excited to meet you and to problem solve with you.

Numbers will be strictly limited. I can't wait to meet you there. The picture below is from my small group workshop in Melbourne at this time last year. The ladies who came along got so much out of it and I know you will too!

“I can’t wait to share my discoveries about menopause, and why this is the essential gateway into good health as we age, with you too.”

For over 30 years I have been involved in New Zealand’s health and exercise industries. My original career was as an ICU nurse, however I re-trained in physical education and pioneered the Personal Training industry in New Zealand.  After leaving the fitness industry, I returned to education and lectured in sport, exercise, nutrition and health physiology, and went on to undertake my Master’s studies in how to help people change their lifestyle behaviour. This led on to my Doctoral studies in the Faculty of Health, Sports and Human Performance at Waikato University. My desire was to better understand how women perceived their ageing and the role of exercise in this during their menopause transition.

What I discovered was that our menopause transition is a critical time to change our lifestyle and our health. In a different hormonal environment what we have done in the past to manage our health, energy and our weight, simply may not work anymore. There has been very little research on the menopause transition, and so many health coaches and other professionals don't understand this, or the lifestyle changes that women need to make to help us get ready for the next 30 years of living we have to do!  I realised that this is the time of our lives that our health can begin to change and our menopause symptoms may become worse if we let them.  I set up MyMT™ to educate as many women as possible how to age healthily.
