Sugar Detectives: Understanding Hidden Sugars
Put on your detective hats and grab your magnifying glasses—we’re going on a sugar hunt!
In this fun and interactive workshop, you’ll investigate common household foods to uncover hidden sugars, discover their effects on the body, and finish with a delicious and nutritious food creation.
Leading the investigation are Alexis Beynon, a recent Ara Nutrition graduate who is passionate about children’s nutrition, and Chloe Scoble, a third-year Ara Nutrition student and mum of two. Together, they’ll help you and your little detectives track down sneaky sugar culprits and make smart, nutritious choices!
The workshops are all free as they are organised through funding from the Ara Foundation. Please register only if you can attend, as spaces are limited to 20 children/caregiver pairs for each workshop.
