About the presenters:

Kylie Clampitt is a product design engineer at Ara Manawa. She has a background in biomedical engineering, having completed her Masters in 2020 at the Auckland Bioengineering Institute. Following this, she worked in the medical device industry at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare for 3.5 years, providing technical engineering skills in addition to human factors and regulatory support. Her blend of experiences in health, research, and product development has led her to her current role, using human-centered design as a driver for improving patient experiences.

Iuliia Sankova completed her Bachelor degree of Interior design in Toronto, Canada and has worked on a variety of projects from luxury hotels to hospitals. These experiences have led her to healthcare design as she wanted to focus her energy on developing better spaces for patients and clinicians. She’s drawn to work that allows her to apply her skills in designing spaces that empower people, support their identity, and uphold their dignity. She’s continually inspired by those she designs for and humbled by the ongoing process of learning and improvement.
