INFO

For this adventure, we're hosting an 'urban walk' from Onehunga Bay (Beachcroft Ave) to the Viaduct Harbour.

The total route is around 16km, so make sure to pack water, snacks, sunscreen, and wear suitable clothing and footwear!

We are going over a couple of local maunga (mountains), so some steeper parts.

You need to get yourself to the start of the walk so think about public transport or getting a drop off.

The route:

Part one: Manukau Harbour to Cornwall Park (90 minutes)

Part two: Maungakiekie to Grafton (90 minutes approximately)

Part three: Auckland Domain to Viaduct (50 minutes approximately)

Host:

Got To Get Out founder Robert Bruce is hosting, with helpers from the GTGO community.

He is bringing his dogs and you are welcome to also!

Safety / risk disclosure:

This is a technically easy walk, though you need to be fit enough for 4-5 hours of walking or maybe more with some hills. It might be hot, at this time of year.

You should have any first-aid you need, and have completed our disclosure form.

How to join:

Please book a ticket for each walker, as spaces are limited and helps us manage numbers

Bring:

Come with water, snacks, enclosed shoes, and sun / wind / rain protection! (exact gear list will follow to ticket holders).
