During this session we'll dive into these topics and the complexities of the gender pay gap in New Zealand and discuss some of the factors and solutions. Learn about how the gender pay gap toolkit can help you understand your pay gap and take action to close it.

This event offers a great opportunity to hear from business leaders who are owning their gender pay gap and taking action to drive change. It’s a chance to network, exchange ideas, and learn about practical actions that can help create lasting change in the workplace.

Within the panel discussion business leaders discuss their organisations’ work to reduce the gender pay gap, increase women in leadership, and share their successes, challenges, and plans for the future.

The panel will feature influential voices from organisations that are taking action to address these issues. Each panellist will provide insights into the work their organisation is doing, highlight the real-world challenges they've faced, and discuss the impact of initiatives aimed at reducing the gender pay gap and increasing the number of women in leadership roles.

Lee Gardiner - Chief Operating Officer: Citycare Property
Lee is an experienced executive leader with a legal background and 20+ years of senior management experience predominantly in the HR, people and culture transformation space including health and safety and change management. She has held senior people, culture and marketing roles in a range of publicly listed, government and privately held organisations. Passionate about organisational success through robust people practices, Lee is committed to supporting the leaders of today whilst building the leaders of tomorrow. A strategic thinker, a strong executor, a high performance team builder and an energy generator. Lee’s leadership style is authentic and empathetic but sets high expectations for performance. She challenges the status quo and constantly works for improvement and positive change within organisations.

Lee is Ngāti Tuwharetoa and a champion for Māori development and achievement, equity and inclusion and an ally of the LGBTQA community. She was privileged to start her governance career by being an Associate Director as part of the CCHL Associate Director programme on the Citycare Board of Directors. For Lee, governance is about contributing, shaping and influencing the success of an organisation in a non-executional role and supporting those in senior leadership teams to achieve.

Alice leads Orion Group’s Investment Portfolio and Capability teams which are responsible for the successful delivery of Orion’s investment portfolio while building a resilient, capable workforce to meet customer needs now and into the future. Alice joined the Orion Group in December 2021 with a strong background managing teams and creating environments for teams to thrive. She has worked across a broad range of roles in New Zealand and overseas, building a strong record of achievement in health and safety, quality, sustainability, productivity, yield, cost control efficiency and workplace culture
