About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Retail and hospitality bring life to our city. They shape how Wellington feels, who it attracts, and what kind of community it becomes. But this sector is changing fast — and some of the most exciting new energy is coming from people who have recently chosen to make Wellington their home.

Vision for Wellington invites you to an evening with four new entrepreneurs who are reshaping our streets. From fashion and food to secondhand style and innovative dining, they’ll share what drew them here, why they’re investing in the city, and what we need to get right if we want to keep them.

Join us in conversation with:

• Nat Woodhall, That Was Then, This Is Now

• Mikey Venimore, Preloved Charlies

• Tom Millott, Supra (and formerly Amok)

• Victoria McDowall, Fred’s Sandwiches and The Ram

The panel will be hosted by Chris Wilkinson from First Retail, with provocations and ideas from local retail and hospo stalwarts — and plenty of room for audience input.

Arrive from 5.30pm for drinks and a warm welcome. The event will begin at 6.00pm sharp and finish with a cash bar and informal conversation.

Expect a relaxed vibe, good company, and some fresh ideas to take home.

Entrance to The Exchange Atrium is between Kura and Ora on Allen Street.
